Not saying these are bad in any way, but for $1,999 list price these shouldn't be made in China.........Sad to see.
Tell that to US corporations trying to cut cost and increase margins.

By the way, china has advanced in tgeir manufacturing and QA capabilities significantly over the decades and now produces some items with surprising quality. And most things are made there now,

Since Covid, it has exposed a vulnerability in US reliance on China for manufacturing nearly everything...including the contrast fluids injected relied upon by radiology, injected into CT scan patients in order to take clear images. In addition the the mask shortage we experienced early on.

With no DSP driver correction, no advanced port design, no driver protection, no amos, no placement correction, and no coaxial drivers, I'd recommend these as an aesthetic purchase.

For an audio purchase, get a Kali IN-8 v2 and sub.
For an audio purchase that lasts beyond 5 years after which you are screwed duetiin built dsp, dac, amp going bad, i recommend passives. Caee in point, kef ls50 wireless fail rates.

These have been $1500 with stands pretty regularly (e.g. Amazon). Good speaker but probably not a slick deal.

You can try looking for an open box somewhere for a bigger discount, ymmv but $1275 for the open box and $1500 new:

https://www.musicdirect.com/speak...f-speakers

Even though it says free delivery on their site MD may charge extra for shipping depending on if it needs freight delivery which probably depends on how they're packaged. All in one might need to be shipped on a pallet, individual boxes and it's probably just a bad day for the ups driver.
The open box deals you linked to are nice but they don't include the stands. I truthfully would love to pick up an open box pair of these at that price with stands or at any significant price lower than whats listed here. That being said, I still think this is a solid price new with the stands that compliment these speakers so well.

An object lesson in avoiding blanket generalizations and bandwagon hopping, turns out these outperform most active DSP'd designs:
