Just checked not included!!! No 0w-40 or 5W-40 included under advanced synthetic. Seriously Mobil.. I was waiting for this deal for a while now. I guess I have to jump on Penzoil deal now.

I believe the Advance Auto Parts' $15 gift card is stackable with this offer. If true, the oil filter becomes free.

You have no idea what you are talking about. "W" number has nothing to do with fuel economy. It just indicates approximate cold temperature that oil can be used. You have to look at second number. For example, you will have better MPG on 5W-30 than on 0W-40.
Incorrect. All of the "Advanced Fuel Economy" oils are 0W. That's why they're named that way. And 5W-20, 5W-30 etc are ABSOLUTELY used because the manufacturers have done studies that they had better fuel economy. That's whey the OEM oils have moved that direction in fact. My Lexus calls for 0W-20. NOT because of climate.

I mean this with no disrespect, but you're a millennial, aren't you?

Without using the word "viscosity" and "friction reducers", I can't take anything you say seriously. Smilie

They are purportedly "all" 0W, because that is the thinnest oil (least viscous) and expected, all else constant, to flow more without thickening at lower temperatures ..and said to improve fuel efficiency, when combined with friction reducers, as pure mechanics (less friction, thin oil, easier to pump).

Homework—read some white-papers on 'SAE Grading' and report back to us what the "W" stands for (hint: Brrrrrr). We'll then talk about what 5W-20s/5W30s have been the standard for decades and decades (hint: not for your little Greta something or other save-the-planet hypotheses). lol

Are you going to mail it in? If that works for the 0w-40 please let us know I might try that next if online doesn't work.

Without calling you names for your "oil knowledge", just put some 0W-40 Mobil1 oil in your Lexus. Report back on "improved" MPGs.

So I bought 0w-40 oil from Walmart. Submitted online and was just approved. Even though online there is no option for 0w-40 I just picked Mobil 1 full synthetic then 5w-30. Try that out might work for you guys too
