Is this considered a fast charger? I checked but couldn't find an answer from their website

It's so odd that companies are still producing chargers with a 1A port.

Pay a little more and get one with two 27w ports instead!

Yes should be fast. 27W at 5 volts should be over 5A of possible current.

But, it may be important what charging standard your device uses, so check that.

Does this support Samsung's super fast charging (PD 3.0)? Can't tell from the descriptions and not tech savvy enough.

The 27W isn't at 5V, it's at 9V or 12V

5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/2.25A

The USB-A port is a little underpowered with just 5V/1A.

The fastest Samsung chargers are 45W, so these are not as fast. If you want to stick with MP brand, here's their 45W PD car charger for $11

Just realized it's the same one that was linked in the 2nd post.

To charge a newer phone & a dinky lil vape battery.. I use either something like this or 30 watt PD+IQ port ( power regulating. Plenty of devices with little trickle batteries you don't want to blow up, but still have the ability to charge your phone at super speed..

Running 50 watts in a lighter port is all kinds of stupid. Yes you can run up to 15 amps, but for extended periods?

I use a 13 A heated blanket in the winter while engine warms up, I'd say a phone charger is fine. These cigarette lighter ports are fused, so there is no danger.

For a charger to be compatible with Samsung's Super Fast Charging, the USB-PD charger also needs to support the Programmable Power Supply (PPS) mode. This looks to be plain vanilla USB-PD without PPS. Also the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) really needs to upgrade their marketing department. WHO comes up with these names ffs.

For clarity: the smaller galaxy s22 supports super fast charging only up to 25w. The bigger S22+ and the S22 Ultra support 45watts.

Either way, spend a few bucks more and get a future proof charger. I recently got one of those for 20 bucks (a bit much for a car charger I guess) but all the usb-c ports support PPS and one of them will even output 65W, enough to charge my USB-C laptop.
