Dont mean to sound snippy, but sign of oil is not indicative of quality of the coffee, at all. You can find many many specialty grade expensive coffees that are not oily. And on the other hand, most of Starbucks' darker beans are oily as a teenager's forehead.

I see the Save $1 at checkout, but the price is listed at $12.99 ( or $12.34 subscribe & save ) So I guess I don't see the 20% coupon either.

if you click "one time purchase", the 20% off appeared below the price. Good price but i hope it is no expired stock.

Alternately, on sale for $12.29 at our Costco Business Center [costcobusinessdelivery.com], and based on personal experience will almost certainly be fresher than Amazon's.

I have got some of the best and worst espressos from this beans in my Breville Barista. I had to mix it with other beans to get more consistent results.

I bought this beans from Costco. The taste is okay for me. I like coffee that is more on the dark roast, as I like the stronger taste. This coffee does appear to be dry, as in no visible sign of oil. In other words, this coffee is basic and nothing special about it,. It does the job and taste like normal coffee, not bad. After finishing up this bag I'll splurge alittle more for the Supreme crema that people highly talk about. I have a semi auto espresso machine.

doesn't this coffee have rocks
I was hoping for an authentic Italian souvenir lava rock. I checked the beans and found none.

If you like a very strong cup with bold flavour then oily, dark roasted coffee is the right choice.
I love my oily French roast.

These were super stale last time I got them, I would honestly avoid even though the price is very good.

This is half the price of Lavazzas other darker roast "crema" offerings. Is it half as good?

I like Rossa (the red bag). That used to go on sale a lot but now, it's only this bag that seems to go on sale
