This Laptop has the Ryzen 6800HS Creator Edition which is Lenovo's take on AMD 6000 series Processors. Basically they have worked on multiple professional Software Vendors like Adobe to optimize it for those workloads. Normally Intel Processors with similar dedicated cards perform better in Adobe Suites as it can use the CPU + dedicated GPU + QuickSync from the Intel integrated GPUs whereas for AMD, the neither the VEGA nor the RDNA2 are optimized and if a dedicated GPU is plugged in, Adobe software simply use that and does not take advantage of the integrated GPU as well.

In this Creator Edition versions, Lenovo has fixed the issue and optimized it for those applications. Check the Matthew Moniz's review of IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro X using that same Creator Edition CPU and the benchmarks.

This specific series was introduced last year and always comes with soldered ram. There're models with 32GB Ram but that never got introduced in USA.

Yea I remember this being the case last year as well. At the time I ended up looking at the Thinkbook 16p and slim 7 because they were also thin but left you the ability to upgrade the ram and add more storage.

man these specs makes no sense. Why would you need QHD 120hz when its only powered by a 3050?

The same reason why some TVs are also 120hz. Gaming is not the only reason why you need a high refresh screen. Besides, alot of competitive games like CS GO and Overwatch don't need high end GPUs and should easily get over 100fps with this setup.

On top of that, this is not a gaming laptop in the 1st place. So using gaming analogy to determine what this can do is illogical in the 1st place. This is more of a creativity and and productivity performance work laptop, similar to Dell XPS series.
Regarding the 120Hz refresh rate, now higher refresh rate panels are becoming cheaper and so even these kind of laptops are now implementing them without increasing price. As you mentioned, this enables these laptops to do occasional gaming + 120Hz refresh rate makes thing look faster even when not gaming. In 2022, there are lot of laptops coming with higher refresh rates, even with integrated graphics.

I am actually typing from the 2021 version, IdeaPad 5 Pro 6ACH6, Part # 82L5005FIN. With sheer luck, I was able to pick up it from India in a flash sale (Only 2 were available in the whole State) and paid around 1050 USD in Indian Currency.
My model has the exact same Display, 5900HX, 32GB soldered DDR4 3200, 1TB Gen 3 SSD and RTX 3050 55W GPU. However, it does not have Advanced Optimus or Mux switch, this year's model have.
I am using this as my personal work laptop and Work from Home laptop for over 5 months now and I must say, it is a great machine. The Battery life is very good, 7+ hours of use with mix usage, including some demanding tasks. Also, this laptop runs far cooler than any intel based Thin & Light high performance laptops in load. The build quality is pretty good and has enough ports. I normally use it home with my 4K 144Hz Acer Predator 28" Monitor via a single Type-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable and it works flawlessly.

I can't seem to find any reviews of this one. Is this known as something else or is it just that new? I know Lenovo causes some confusion with their Yoga naming conventions.

It's the 2022 refresh of this series and has just became available in USA in Microcenter. You need to wait a bit for reviews to pop up

Anyone know if USB4 might get enabled on this model?

Also - sold out, at least for online orders.
