This router does not allow you to split or pause 2.4ghz and 5ghz frequencies if that matters to you.
I had this and the deco and returned the netgear for this same reason.
Sadly deco does not allow splitting as well but I was able to pause the 2.4ghz on my main network and create a guest network for 2.4 to have all my IoT devices connected to it

This is a Key point for me. You say no, but Netgear says otherwise. Post from the Amazon questions

Q: Does this support separating 2.4 and 5ghz ssid? Some older devices fail when its under one ssid.
A: You can go into the admin screens on the router and turn off the "Smart Connect" feature, which separates the 2 bands into different SSID and password.

To be fair hes not wrong and hes not right. Through the app which 99% of people will ever use it does not allow you to do it. The admin screen they are talking about is barely ever mentioned and not even apart of setup guides so most people dont know it exists.

Personal experience with the smart connect feature has been really buggy for me. I kept getting some household devices constantly dropping off my network. Did some digging and apparently it's a known issue and it's recommend to keep that feature turned off.
