Stem [amazon.com]
Bar [amazon.com]
Grips [amazon.com]
Pedals [amazon.com]

Be sure to watch YT for installations. Common installation mistakes for above items include over-tightening and tightening wrong direction.

Start with these 2 videos and be patient:

How to Adjust a Front Derailleur [youtu.be]
How to Adjust a Rear Derailleur [youtu.be]

One main reason MTB/gravel riders upgrade to 1x (one by) drivetrain is to simplify the derailleur adjustments. This bike can be upgraded to 1x later, but would require upgrading the rear hub/wheel. There's nothing wrong with 3x drivetrain on this bike. In my opinion, 1x is more of a quality-of-life upgrade, others might tell you 1x also saves weight.

Yep! I had the seat installed on the stock post before replacing the stock post with the suspension one.

The framed seat looks like this mounting

You just have to remove the old style clamps. It will be obvious when you see it. Bicycle saddle rails are pretty standard.

Amazon Warehouse is running 20% off select used items. I always look for bike stuff during these sales. This time, one item stood out to me and thought I share it here for anyone interested:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...th=1&psc=1

Tranz-X Kitsuma Dropper Post w/External Routing
  • 31.6/170mm
  • No lever

Used Like New: 109.60 - 21.92 (20% off) = $87.68 + Prime shipping free

This is a great price for an entry level name brand dropper that works with this Framed bike. Couple of things to note:
  1. Comes with no lever. There are many lever choices, but I personally like the Crankbrothers Highline lever for the price and adjustability
  2. At 170mm drop, make sure your normal riding height is AT LEAST 225mm (~8.9 inches) from top of seat tube to the seat rails. Otherwise you can't make effective use of this dropper
I think there is only 1 used at this price, so good luck to whoever can make use of this. If you don't see this price, it means someone else bought it.

Bike saddles are personal preferences. No one can tell you which is best and most comfortable for you, except for yourself. Everyone's bottoms and sit bones are different. Some people even find stock saddles very comfortable. Have you given the stock saddle a chance? Why spend money if you don't have to? Like a pair of new shoes, it may take some time to break in new saddle with your bottom. And sometimes it only takes small fore/aft/tilt saddle adjustments to make a world of difference. On this Framed saddle, to adjust fore/aft, just loosen both seat post bolts, move the saddle fore/aft, and re-tighten bolts. To adjust tilt, loosen front bolt and tighten rear bolt to tilt saddle up. Loosen rear bolt and tighten front bolt to tilt saddle down. Give it a chance before you waste money. Plenty of YT videos on how to properly adjust bike saddle.

Kenda has a bunch of $10 ($50 min for free shipping) tires to play around with on this cheap bike. I havent seen a deal on here yet for it, but the scalpers are scooping them up. Just a heads up if you want to try a different tire pattern or larger/smaller tire.

Yes they're I'll try a few out, I'm becoming more comfortable with the stock one though. I've done about 100 miles or so on the bike and love it. Seat angle adjustment did help some, I'll play with some seats to see what I like best. I ordered the following below , do have some play money with this bike though.

REI has a few sqlab saddles at 75% off
SQlab 602 M-D Active Saddle $24
SQlab 601 Ergolux Chromo Saddle $21

Nice! Glad you gave stock bike a chance before spending money. Honestly, you're mostly giving your body a chance to adjust to the bike more than anything. You'd be surprised at how adaptable human body is to various physical activities if given time and a little perseverance. I've seen too many beginners either give up or start throwing money at a new sport before giving their body a chance to adapt.

I used a Brooks B17 saddle on my gravel commuter bike. Saddle alone costs almost as much as this whole bike. It seemed to be the saddle of choice for many bikepackers who put in thousands of miles a year. I put in about 100 miles a week commuting on that saddle. Being leather, it took a a while (> 5,000 miles) to break in and cannot get it wet (I put a plastic grocery bag over it when it rains).

Now, on my daily recreational mountain bike for trail riding, I got this saddle on sale for $6: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H60SXAK/. After getting used to it, honest it feels 90% as comfortable as my $100 Brooks B17. Besides, I'm not commuting 100 miles a week on my mountain bike. In fact, I'm not even seated half the time riding down trails.

For context, I don't wear padded shorts. Again, what's comfortable for me may not be for others and vise-versa.

Just a heads up that The House has 40% off of their Framed Rendal in size 17.5" for the next 6 days.
https://www.the-house.com/qfrren1...amed-bikes

Here's the numbers for my location:
Subtotal $477.75
Discount -$191.10
Shipping $69.95
Taxes $22.22
Total $378.82

The shipping is pretty painful and of course the discount is nowhere near the deal we had from Camping World. But this may stack up well against other current bike deals.

I'm very happy with the 18" version I got from CW. I've beat the crap out of it and only broken the pedals so far.
