Interesting, but if they're trying to entice me to read the series, they need to offer the deal on book #1. Offering a deal on #2 seems silly, so many years after this series came out. After this many years, you either haven't read any of them, or you've read most/all of them. Likely almost no one is on book #2 right now...

So younger audiences wouldn't read them? Believe it or not there are people old enough to read that were not alive when the series originally began therefore they have not already read them all.

Didn't say that. I said that if they're trying to entice a new audience, they should start with Book #1. I've never read them, and I was alive for all of it. Age has nothing to do with it.

They do have a discount on book 1. But I do imagine there are situations where some one could have book 1 but not book 2. Similar to you I was alive when they first came out I did buy book 1 and then decided I didn't like it, never bought book 2. If a kid relative of mine took interest I would have no problem giving them book 1 but they would be on their own for book 2. I do believe age plays a factor because as you mentioned most adults have already decided whether they are interested in Harry Potter or not. It's been one of the most popular book series of the last two decades.

If you read my comment, you'll see I don't speak in absolutes. This series was really hot, now it's not. Less people are reading it now than before, undoubtedly. Not sure why you're trying to pick apart my comment, but I'm done with this conversation.

But you're wrong the OP added a deal on Book 1. Also you are thread crapping on the deal while wrong. And wow you are sensitive.

I have a kindle.

I'm just done interacting with trolls. You have 400 posts, and 22 rep. That means you talk a lot but no one thinks what you have to say is insightful or helpful. Or, you're just a troll. Either way, good day sir.

You have 96 reps after over a decade of being here. You have to be joking using that as a barometer for someones usefulness.

And considering you came into the thread with nothing but negativity, thread crapping on this deal for no reason, you sir look like the troll right now.

Somehow, I can't get out of this conversation.

If people like what you have to say, you get repped. looks like out of 408 posts right now, you've probably been given rep 3 times (based on 4 points per rep). That is incredibly low, and it's an indicator of someone who just wants to talk a lot (or argue a lot), otherwise SD community members would have taken the 2-second effort to click "give rep" on more of your 400+ posts.

This conversation is now entirely off-topic, this is officially my last reply to you. If you want the last word, go for it.

Has gone off topic. Instead of addressing the fact that there are people who are still discovering Harry Potter books, or the fact the OP did post discounts to both Book 1 and Book 2 you have decided to spend your time personally attacking and discrediting me.

I do hope you go away because you have been nothing but negative since you first entered this thread.
