Very, very good series! When you grab the Kindle version it enables you to pick up the Audible version for a reduced price that can be as low as a buck from time to time.

Same here, except I seem to have got books 1-9 for free. Looks like I got books 1-7 in Oct 2020 and books 8-9 in May 2021, all for free. So maybe these show up for free occasionally.

Doing a quick Slickdeals search, books 1-7 were free in Oct 2020, and books 1-9 were free in May 2021.
