Depending on your location, Costco service takes a long time - I've seen 3+ hours even with appointments. DTD can get you in/out in under an hour with an appointment.
DTD will price match costco too.
Why don't you learn your lesson?

You got tires installed the week before 4th of July?

May the force never be with you!

what are their installation charges now?

$22.5 per tire ($88 total)
Certificates $85

In my case AVID ASCEND GT $733 -110-70 = $553 (not great)

I use to get the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus tires but they are not to be had any longer. Anyone recommend any good tires similar to these? I'm needing a pair this month. Might have to bite on this deal.

Agree but it's going to get even more expensive if you wait. I have a good friend that works at Discount Tire an more price increases coming due to shortages, inflation, and freight costs. I can get a good deal from him but I need to find some tire. Good luck in trying to save some money.

Anyone know of any other places having sales over the holiday weekend on tires? NTB site is down. At least I can't get to it and I wanted to compare. Looks like Discount Tires has some decent deals if you stack the promotions.

Not sure what size tire you have. Here's the breakdown for 4 x AVID ASCEND GT 205 /50 R16 87V SL BSW. Not sure how you're getting $533 unless it's a different size. Still expensive.

568.00 Tires
22.00 per tire
12.00 disposal
110.40 certs

- 170.00 Savings

Total $668.40

Even with the discount, Yokohama A052s are still cheaper in my sizes on Simple Tire vs DTT, especially with their usual %15 refer-a-friend discount.

Not a huge fan of DTT buying Tire Rack either, diminished competition can't be good.

While I'm a big fan of DT the tires I need are marked down at Amazon right now to a price where I'd actually save about $40 if the installer charged the same price etc.

Does DT price match and then allow a deal like this to stack?

P7 a/s plus are my current tires 205-55/R16. Very happy with them. Being in rust belt, lm considering Nokian one or general aw-365

Looked up Michelin Defender T+H for about $600 OTD and Goodyear Assurance MaxLife for $560 OTD, both of which have 820 treadwear and have served me well for suburb and highway driving. Decent price as I got Michelin Defender 2's for $650 OTD price matched 2 weeks ago during non-holiday sales.

It is hard to compare the purchase. Their are some online companies that ship the tires to you or an installer. Then their are full service tire companies that sell different brands and install.
How easy is it to get a repair at the company. Putting 4 tires on seems to be a pretty easy repair but getting a tire repaired in a timely fashion. If you need tires now, the rebate is nice but it comes from the manufacturer.
