I suppose casual gaming, but then I dunno, does it have to be marketed for gaming? Most any panel will do for that.
I feel VA is more reserved for media type stuff.

As you get into higher refresh rates and play fast paced games, it's noticeable with ghosting. Your eye is pretty keen overall.
And, don't kill me if I'm wrong on this panel as I'm not going to find it again, but the response time is usually grey to grey. Some have started advertising more detail about response time.
I'm fully aware of what the response time measures and that it's outside all the other inputs. But again, there's things always looking to reduce the latency at all stages - Nvidia newer GPUs have the Reflex tech that's helping to reduce input lag. It all adds up.
You don't have to be at a high level of skill for ghosting to show up. Also, each person is different, but motion blur is super annoying to me and makes it unfun. I've always reached for monitors with lowest response times at the time of purchase.
I've had time to 2nd guess my purchase & wanted to ask this brilliant collective a few questions, because I am not as smart as all of you:
Is 'Maximum Brightness 400cd/m2' equivalent to 400 nits?
I'm also learning that this a VA monitor vs IPS & read up on that here [tomshardware.com].
❓Any opinions on returning this VA panel & going for an IPS like the 27" Acer Predator XB3 IPS WQHD 165Hz Gaming Monitor (Refurbished) $202.39 to get a lower response time, brighter screen & better viewing angles? (says deal is expired but still works)
❓How does that refurbished Acer compare to this 27" Acer Predator XB271HU WQHD 1440p 144Hz NVIDIA G-SYNC IPS Monitor @$290 [amazon.com]?
Also, this Monoprice monitor has none of the syncs, G-Sync, Free Sync, Kitchen Sync . . .

I recently bought the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro Gen 6 Laptop, which has an 16.0" IPS panel (2560 x 1600, 165Hz, 500 nits, 3ms response, i7-11800H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8GB) & would like to upgrade my monitor to be a similar experience.
❓Any recommendations for a comparable monitor at a similar price point?
