Found this on my consumer Platinum.

DETAILS
Get a one-time $75 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $200 in one or more purchases directly with Delta Air Lines by 9/30/2022. Flight must originate in the U.S. and purchase must be in USD. See terms.

OFFER TERMS
Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid for purchases made directly with Delta Air Lines through U.S. delta.com, via Fly Delta U.S. App, and U.S. reservation telephone line. Flights must originate in the U.S., including U.S. territories, and purchases must be in U.S. dollars to qualify. Offer valid only for purchases where Delta Air Lines is the merchant of record, such as airfare, fare upgrades, seat selection fees, baggage fees, standby fees, and Delta Sky Club® memberships. Excludes the following: (i) purchases in-person at the airport where Delta is not the merchant of record, lounges, and sales offices, (ii) all purchases on-board flights including food, beverage, and WiFi, (iii) stand alone hotel bookings and car rentals through delta.com, (iv) purchases through third parties or affiliated agents, and (v) Delta Vacations®, Delta Dive, Delta Cargo, On Demand Charter services, Delta Flight Museum, SkyMiles® Marketplace purchases, SkyMiles Experiences™, SkyMiles Cruises, Delta Meeting Network, (vi) travel insurance/trip protection, gift card purchases, and charitable donations. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member. You may not receive the statement credit if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as qualifying for the offer. For example, you may not receive the statement credit if (a) the merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) the merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or (c) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 9/30/2022, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items/services from your qualifying purchase have been shipped/provided by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your purchase as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express Card online account. The enrolled Card account must be active, not past due, canceled, or have a returned payment outstanding to receive the statement credit. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Amex Offers are dynamic and personalized, so the offers you see may change. For questions regarding your Card Account, please call the number on the back of your Card. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: K3WN:0001

Neither of mine. Wasn't planning on a flight, but if I did I wouldn't mind the free $75 in case my company wanted me to fly somewhere.
or wait for their overbooking and you can collect the easy $1000 each [nypost.com]

Does this work with gift card? I know fine print says no gift card, but any way around?

Got it on amex gold
yes this will work on both physical gcs and e-gcs as long as you buy from delta airlines. if you buy a delta gc from someone else such as a gift card vendor or some other gcs provider then it won't trigger the amex offer. check the url in your browser on your gc order before you buy to give you a better idea who you are buying from.

I use max rewards which automatically adds all offers to your cards for you. Since it is simultaneous it gets around the amex system. https://youtu.be/iXkN-ZX6ZPI . This video explains it all
Good to know - thank you!!

Its over. All giftcards purchased even at delta.com goes thru cashstar. Look at the bottom of the web page when you buy the giftcard at delta.com. It has a cashstar logo. It goes thru cashstar now. When you buy the giftcard the charge shows up as Delta Airlines GC where it use to say Delta Airlines only. Also you won't get the email from amex saying you used the offer which is another warning.

the last time i bought a gc from delta was october 2021 and it worked fine. it was a physical gc and as you know, cashstar doesn't sell physical gcs. the last time i bought a e-gc from delta was december 2020 and it didn't come from cashstar and it trigger amex offer just fine. i remember there were 2 ways to buy delta egcs and one site was working and the other was not. seems the cashstar site is the only way to purchase delta egc today and as you mentioned, it will not trigger the amex offer.
