For me this Tv replaced a CX and I think its a better set
The better Tv tuner alone in this TV is worth $100 IMO

I cant say
For me the G1 is a better set than the CX...I had them side by side in the same room and the G1 was brighter and had more color saturation
As for the internal tuner..if you are only streaming it would make no difference

The G1 has the new "evo" panel found in the $500 more expensive C2 ($2099 for 65" at Best Buy at time of writing). This makes the G1 roughly 20% brighter than the C1 for only $20 more: the C1 is selling for $1600 while the G1 can be had on Amazon for $1620 since Amazon is offering immediate 10% cashback (from $1796) on it.

I dont use a tuner for programming
But when I first bought my G1 ..I had it side by side with the outgoing CX ..and just with a pair of rabbit ears I was amazed at what the next gen tuner can do

We wound up going to an Apple TV and HomePod setup instead
