the tuner in this is set up for next gen, 4k OTA if you watch sports Smilie

Some C1's have the evo panel, but unless you see the box, no way to tell.

Id do the G1...there is a certain place that doesnt charge tax that I bet you can get the G1 cheaper for....the place that shall not be named on slickdeals

I got lucky with deal last time. Open box was $1100. Picked it up and verified floor model when I got home. Had 8k hours and burn in. LG denied my claim for replacement (others said they were replaced even though open box). Went back to best buy and explained situation. After 4th person I spoke with they said they will swap out a new one for free. They came and got old and gave me new in box. Not bad for 1100.

I got lucky with deal last time. Open box was $1100. Picked it up and verified floor model when I got home. Had 8k hours and burn in. LG denied my claim for replacement (others said they were replaced even though open box). Went back to best buy and explained situation. After 4th person I spoke with they said they will swap out a new one for free. They came and got old and gave me new in box. Not bad for 1100.

Wow, you must have caught the manager on a good day. No way most would give you a brand new unit for a used floor model.

Does the 65" G1 have the heatsink as well? I know that not all EVO panels have heatsinks.

It's meant to not have a stand....it's advertised purely as a wall mount tv....
