I have this and highly recommend it. The meat thermometer was a game changer for my cooking. You can select a preset like chicken and it automatically turns off when it's done cooking.
Me too! I'm way too likely to overcook things on a regular grill due to food safety concerns. Using this is actually helping me get over that when I do cook on the gas grill.

Is this product good for only meat eaters or spending this much a vegetarian is a waste
Not a waste, but maybe get the one @freddyjoe posted right below your post. That one has two baskets and is probably better for your needs. Don't cheap out though, Ninja is 100% the way to go. There's also the XL toaster oven version, but it's not the same. I have it, and I do love it, but mostly for pizza and regular toaster oven use.

The XL grill is still a good option, even if not using meat. It has more cooking surface area than a lot of air fryers, and a lot of things like veggies turn out better if placed in a single layer. Veggie burgers and Morningstar Farms type products will probably turn out much better than in a microwave too.

Costco also sells Ninja air fryers with the toaster oven format and with the removable front drawer format. I have not found a good comparison of the different formats.

The front drawer type is also discounted:

I have had two of these toaster over style. We love that they flip up, but the wire basket is impossible to keep clean over time (we clean, we soak, etc - it's just a magnet for grease).

Expect to replace the basket yearly if it is a daily appliance, or don't use the wire basket (but you'll get less ideal results).

This thing rules. The grill works so well that we quit using our outdoor gas grill and ended up getting rid of it. I thought the thermometer was a gimmick for people who didn't know how to cook, but it actually works incredibly well. This is easily our most used kitchen gadget. Just be warned, it is big and heavy.

We got this from Kohls also on BF, it is fantastic and we recommend to everyone. We love wings in this, but it is used daily. Best kitchen gadget we have got in a very long time.

Ladies and Gents, as with other Ninja products, the most important part: PTFE/PFOA-free, nonstick, ceramic-coated

Why care?
"overheated*" teflon (PTFE) gives off a gas that is toxic to birds

* no specs are EVER given for what 'overheated' means; it could mean "chef hot" or it could mean "my smoke detector is my cooking timer"

Without knowing heats/tolerances/airflow etc, there is some level of concern. The newer ceramic coatings don't flake off like old-school non-stick would over time

I've owned birds for years, so I've been in the 'why risk it?' camp . . . but also . . . they took canaries into mines for a reason.

So - on sale, ninja, Costco and ceramic vs the old spray on is a win any way you shake it.

Just wanted to chime in - we got one of these around Black Friday last year and we use it multiple times per day. We use the air fry feature and the grill feature extensively and I love the temperature probe. I have not turned on our outdoor grill more than 2-3 times jn the past 8 months or so we have had this.

How well would something like this work in a kitchen without a proper vent? ie. a vent that just blows air up in the room instead of out.

Mainly concerned about the grill function and smoke.

The amount of smoke it produces versus a stovetop is noticeably different. My old place would have the smoke alarm go off every time I tried to cook a steak, but after purchasing the first generation of this grill it never went off. You do have to clean in between cooking otherwise any residual fat will create smoke. It is not completely smokeless however, but you can also plug it outside if you have the option for that.

i looked at this last costco visit; only thing that i could think of is that its 'low clearance' might create a decent amount of 'clean up'
