Every listing I've viewed has already been price adjusted for the coupon. Good luck turning this one into a deal.
If you have an example, I'd be curious to check it out. I specifically went through the higher end electronics and Dewalt tools. I calculated the coupon savings then priced the output against Google using national retailers for comparison. In each case, the national retailer was substantially lower than the pre-coupon eBay price and comparable to the post coupon price.
This is an example of a marked up eBay item.
$649 before coupon.

This set sells for $499 at Lowes regular price.

Incorrect. Whether or not they are selling on eBay is irrelevant to the warranty contract. So long as the item is being sold as new and from and authorized retailer / reseller the warranty applies regardless of the marketplace an item is sold. A good example of this is EVGA and Ant Online. Both companies sell a ton on eBay. You can go register your EVGA video card with an eBay receipt and get the full warranty no problem.

I'm not really sure what you are getting at, the vast majority of online sales happen on a marketplace ( a 3rd party as you say). A marketplace only gets involved insofar as facilitating sales or in the case of Amazon shipment and sales. At no point is it relevant to the warranty of product. The seller and item condition at the time of sale is so it makes sense that those would be factors that are considered for warranty.

If any manufacturer did decide to restrict warranty to a certain marketplace it would be arbitrary and capricious. A warranty is given by a manufacturer to guarantee the workmanship of a product.
LOL, some of your comments make it sound as if you're dealing with an American company or something from long ago where things were actually guaranteed, companies stood behind the products they made. Those days are long gone. When I had one of their TVs stop working, they tried to do everything in their power to honor the warranty. Took them months to get someone out to fix it. And like I said previously, one of the things they told me was that if the product was purchased off of ebay then they did not have to warranty it. Their TVs don't stop working too often so you don't hear too many horror stories about LG warranty service but look at some of their reviews on appliances. EVGA is a different scenario entirely; you're buying direct from the manufacturer in that case and eBay is the vendor (not some 3rd party). Not too sure about Ant as I've only purchased from them a couple of times years ago off of ebay and the discount was healthy enough that it was worth the risk of getting whatever off of the grey market.

Companies will always try to minimize warranty claims. That goes without saying. As a customer you should know your rights and what you are entitled to. I'm telling you for a fact anything purchased on eBay through an authorized reseller qualifies for a warranty.

In the case of your issue, did you inform LG it was purchased from an authorized reseller on eBay? Chances are if you contact LG and tell them you purchased on eBay they will assume it's both 2nd hand and not from an authorized reseller because 99% of the time it is. Did they escalate to a manager? It's extremely unlikely that L1 phone techs from india understand the English language enough to properly understand the situation.

I can tell you from my experience helping relatives with their product issues, many people are terrible at explaining the issue they are having and on top of that most support agents are barely competent enough to understand the responses that they were drilled to say.

Slickdeals isn't the proper forum to explicitly detail what happened in your exact case but my decades of experience in the matter say it's likely a combination of both the aforementioned factors.

FYI, EVGA is the vendor when they sell on eBay. eBay is the marketplace. It's irrelevant, point was that products purchased from authorized resellers come with a warranty regardless of if you buy them on eBay, Amazon, or anywhere else.

Don't believe me? Go read the warranty agreement from LG, EVGA, MSI,Samsung, ect.

Ebay has become a complete joke. Every time they run a coupon like I read their terms and conditions and there was nothing in them that had a list of participating vendors. The terms and conditions on this coupons had exclusions, but did not mention a specific list of vendors that qualified. Goodbye Ebay. You can keep your lousy coupons, as they seem to be so very limited anyway.

Lol… Actually it does mention this.. clearly.. in fact it's the first lines in terms & conditions..

"How to redeem your coupon:
Shop for eligible items from the specific event(s) as listed below."

Looks like you should be upset at yourself not eBay. Lol..
sorry, didn't mean to embarrass you, but spreading inaccurate info isn't cool.

It's not working for me, I applied the coupon to different "eligible products" from the ad, and none of them are working. Does anybody else is having the same problem?

"Eligible items exclude warranties and protection plans, as well as items from the Coins & Paper Money, Gift Cards & Coupons, Vehicles in eBay Motors, and Real Estate categories."

Yea and 99% of everything else on eBay. The excluded items shouldn't even be listed on here. Let people read about it on eBay so they'll see only items on a special 4th of July page are eligible.

Spent hours shopping on eBay this weekend to be disappointed in the end.

Here is the best Tech deal on this promo. [ebay.com]

All but one Google Shopping listing for this item (HP 27" Touchscreen All-In-One Computer i5-1165G7/16GB DDR4 RAM/512GB SSD) is at MSRP, which is $1,269.99 - just over the $1,250 limit to get the full $250 discount.

All of ONE listing on eBay has it for $1,154.99. With the 20% eBay coupon, the Electronic Express listing (above eBay URL) brings it down to $1,019.99 - that's a full $135 off the cheapest non-MSRP listing.

So many people saying "No deals on this coupon" or "Lame". How is this not a deal?
