Anyone know if you can connect 2 extensions together to get a 13' reach?

I would think it's too much weight for the first extension (connected to the base) unless you're only going straight up

This is a fair deal, but this pruner/chain saw is heavy. It really needs a harness strap and the extension being included would have made this a good deal.

And oddly, when I checked out the reviews on MaxTool, the reviews were about the string trimmer.

Yes! Use it in my M12 shortie chain saw and it works like a charm. Try it and I bet you'll never buy bar and chain oil again.

I am assuming the 8 Ah battery is a lot heavier than the 5 Ah battery and hence, heavier. Is that an issue when using it various tools?

Been waiting on one of these deals since my craftsman 4 cycle died, really just need a different attachment with this.

Anyone looked at the dewalt 60v string trimmers to compare as well?

Best way to sell the attachment that comes with this, as l need an edger and the string trimmer ideally.

Is this the quick attach system, meaning of I purchase this set up I can take off the pole saw end and replace it with the weed eater attachment?

I went ahead and ordered one of these, plus one extension from home depot. I'll see how 10' reach feels and then maybe order another extension of it seems like that might fly, cuz 10' isn't going to get me there without moving a ladder all over the garden.

I agree, and I don't like that I had to buy the extension to get the shoulder strap. You can get some $$ knocked off the extension price by buying a combo from Home Depot. I bought the articulating hedge with the extension and it was a bit cheaper.
Thanks for the tip. I have the trimmer, the edger, the weed eater, the 1/4 impact, the drywall screw drill, the harness strap, and the hammer drill already. I loathe buying the extension on it's own.

Yes, this is the Quik-Lok system. It's very easy to swap attachments. I use a bike rack on the back of my Deere to hold everything - the "base", string trimmer, hedge trimmer, and pole saw - and I can take care of whatever I need wherever I am in the yard. It's so handy!!

It is a half pound heavier than the 5 Ah, but it is bulkier.
Most use these bigger batteries in outdoor power equipment and not the regular power tools.
Think chain saws, blowers, miter saws, etc. Anything that needs a LOT of juice to run for more than 15 to 30 minutes, and tools that don't require Popeye arms to control.
The main difference is what is inside these batteries. 18.650, 90Wh in the 5.0 vs 21700, 144Wh in the HO8.0

Which is why I posted an earlier comment about this tool being heavy enough that it needs the sling/harness if you're doing more than 3 to 4 cuts. They should have included the extension with the strap. Of course, add a few bucks to the price, or keep it the same for a good deal?

Is there a way to get just the battery from this deal for a decent price?
