If you regularly exercise, this amount of salt isn't an issue. The bad part is when you have high sodium and high cholesterol and you sit on the couch watching some inane reality tv show all day. My entire family has high bp, no heart disease or stroke, except for the smokers, and all grandparents lives to over 90. BP meds don't help as much as regular moderate exercise does, morning and afternoon walks (1 miles) at work during break times for example.

All that said, the 5.5oz freezes really well (ie, they don't explode) and will fit easily in day/waistpacks for hike/run/bike sweat replenishment. One or two cans placed next to a hydration bladder can help keep it cool on hot day adventures.

tldr: It's not only the salt, it's your genetics and activity level that will do the most damage.

Are these produced with ripe or overripe vegetables?

You're right but public awareness is going to take time to catch up with you, same as what happened with saturated fats and dietary cholesterol.

Americans would rather name an enemy than see nuance or admit there's something we could be doing better for ourselves.

Came to see if the low sodium variant was also on sale
No one should be mainlining 1000mg of sodium for a can of anything. High blood pressure or not. I add a shot of Tabasco to the low sodium which gives it a bit of heat and a much healthier choice.

price history shows it hasn't been $20 since early 2016.

< this site blocks links to price history from CCC for some reason >

$11 looks like the most common price, with some dips into the $8 range.

I don't know how people can drink this without dying of heart disease.
Probably how people like you survive while exerting their opinion where it does not belong.

Their spicy variety with pepper or something is tasty. All others will make me puke. If anything, you might need to use blender for these with bananas or blueberries or something to make it drinkable

I think someone not too far from me got in on this deal early, cuz Amazon dropped off my package along with his V8's. Amazon straight up said keep it or toss it... So I got free tomato juices 🙃

I have a discount store that sold 24 packs of V8 for $6 (.25 a can). Really should have bought more than 4 cases lol

Anyway, if you can stand it, the Sodium and Potassium in 1 can is way more than Gatorade without the sugar.

Mix it 1:1 with Zing Zang. Then use it in your Michelada.

Great cooler on a hot day!
