I'm not a huge fan of either, but this is better than ryobi in features and function. But both can be hit and miss on quality control.

However, I've had issues with Woot! in the past (Used tools marked as new. And Damaged tools that ended up being a pain to get refunded on. But that was almost 2 years ago.) A lot of people here still use Woot! without any problems.

I really like the 10" version of this WEN drill press I've had the last 3 years. I've got it sitting on top of a tool cart, which provides the perfect height. The variable speed feature is nice.

However, not sure about buying it from Woot. They list it with a 90 day warranty..?
Should be 2 years,

Bought one few weeks ago when this same deal was running at Woot. Seems fine so far and from what I can tell, it was new in original packaging.

I purchased the WEN 8" bench grinder this year and exchanged the (R) honing wheel with a wire brush. Seemed to run good although I feel the variable dial speed switch is kinda cheap and don't know how long it will last. Anyhow the tool will get hot (200 degrees) after 10 min and operating NO LOAD which is too hot to touch. I took it back to Home Depot and the exchanged one runs hot too! The exchanged model was a newer one and the light operates independently from the grinder so nice upgrade HOWEVER, I am NOT happy with the tool temp and fear it won't last that long. Summary, WEN has lost me as a future customer.

I recently had a few bad experiences buying from woot.
The worst experience was when Woot had a sale on candy bars a few months ago. I ordered a case of three musketeers, case of nestle crunch, and a case of twix.
The twix bars had apparently been exposed to high temperatures because every single bar was completely melted and mixed with the caramel. The nestlรฉ crunch bars seemed okay, but I noticed the box was dusty, checked the expiration date and it had expired 4 months prior. The case of Three musketeers bars however, had been opened, had several missing, and had a couple that had been opened with a few bites taken out. Seriously.

After contacting woot CS twice (the first customer service rep actually tried to argue with me about how I needed to prove that I wasn't the one that had eaten or inappropriately stored the candy!) During the second call later that day I was able to get in touch with a call center supervisor and returned the entire order. He was able to refund the entire order and told me to do whatever I wanted with the product, so into the dumpster it went. The Nestle crunch might have still been good, but frankly with that kind of quality control I wasn't even going to risk it.

Not sure about the Wen but I don't recommend Ryobi. The depth stop mechanism is garbage, and that's like the #2 feature I want in a drill press. There's ways around it, but I don't like being annoyed by my tools every time I use them.
