Walgreens has 2 different Colgate deals right now. Buy 2 get $2 in Walgreens cash and buy 2 get $4 in Walgreens cash. They also have separate coupons that you can stack to basically get some stuff for free. Here is an example of what I ordered.

Add 2 and clip $4 coupon (you'll get $2 back in Walgreens rewards)
https://www.walgreens.com/store/c...73-product

Add 2 and clip $4 coupon (you'll get $4 back in Walgreens rewards)
https://www.walgreens.com/store/c...02-product

Final cost = $6.08 plus $6 back in Walgreens rewards

Other eligible items for $2 back
https://www.walgreens.com/store/B...-A-01-2082

Other eligible items for $4 back
https://www.walgreens.com/store/B...-A-01-7023

General list of Colgate products:
https://www.walgreens.com/search/...tt=colgate
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Most of the times, you get less than what you ordered, because they don't have enough quantities on hand, they adjust the order and then the coupons and discounts don't make sense. Happened to me 3 times. Screw Walgreens.
Great deals
I'd suggest not putting "free" in title,
as Wags Rewards are not cash.
Please read the "complete" sentence. It says "free... after $6 back in Walgreens Rewards." It's a common/standard phrase.

I hear you. This happened to me yesterday (on a different deal). I called my store and asked them to cancel the order. I then placed a new order to get the deal. I used to check no substitution, but now I allow it, check same brand, and then write "must be a product eligible for buy X get $X in Walgreens rewards." I don't know if they read it, but I haven't had issues in my last 2 orders.

Thanks for post. Gave a thumbs up. But I gotta agree. Even with the full sentence, it is still misleading.

I agree that as I read the post, I'm not sure what the economics exactly are in this deal. However it seems like it's a good deal regardless.

On a related note, I see people double count the rewards money. They buy these deals because of the economics of this deal but then later on post excitedly that they used the reward money on a separate deal and how the reward money improved the economics of the separate deal.

For some items, if you buy them in store you will get in-store cash reward (Register Reward). But if you buy them online and ship them to home or store, you will get W Cash reward. What if you buy them online for in-store curbside pickup (not shipping)? Do you get Register reward, W Cash reward, or nothing?

Here is an example from this week, Oral-B Sensi-soft toothbrushes Buy 2 get $4 W Cash reward if you buy them online (to ship) https://www.walgreens.com/store/c...36-product , Buy 2 get $4 in-store cash reward (Register Reward) if you buy them in store https://www.walgreens.com/offers/...p/weeklyad (first row under Deal of the week).

If any of you have done this deal using online order for store pickup (not shipping), can you please share what you got: $4 W Cash reward, $4 in-store Cash reward (Register Reward), or nothing?

Thank you!

I believe that you are supposed to get the register rewards. I hate them - destroys the whole nice nature of Walgreen points that you don't have to worry about expiration for a year.

Initially I missed this subtle shift to "Register reward". First time I didn't get anything, I chatted with the Walgreens and they credited me the points. Next time it happened, the guy explained to me that these were register rewards that should have printed out on the catalina printer and if there was an issue, I needed to contact catalina. What a pain in the rear. Catalina did send me the rewards but I stay away from these since clearly my store catalina printer is all busted since it happened twice to me. It might be might local store problem.
