VPN into Argentina youtube and you can have it for under $1.50 a month. Once you start the sub, you can go back to US or whatever native servers you use with no difference in service.

Ive had YT Red/Premium since 2018 and it ABSOLUTELY changes how you use the service. Without the annoying ads, you are more comfortable "grazing" on videos which you normally would not watch. Esp true on the the phone where we have exponentially lower attention span.

I just went the VPN way and it WORKS !!

I used Turkey as is cheapest with the inflation ravaging the country there 70% year over year

HERE ARE THE STEPS:

• Make new Gmail Account, can put fake name, mine is "Catch Not"

• Turn on VNP with location Turkey

• Open Icognito Page in BROWSER

• Navigate to YouTube.com

• Sign in with the new email adress

• Click on the menu of the left, find "YouTube Premium" button

• Monthly is $16.99TRY - about $1 a month, or you can sub yearly and get a discount - $169TRY which is about $10 a year

• Click "Try For Free" button

• Will ask for Credit Card - add your regular credit card, or WHATEVER you want to pay with

• I used my every day credit card, and entered my actual name there (or it wont go thru obviously)

• Enter your Expiration Date and 3 digit code from the back of the card

• DO NOT ENTER BILLING ADRESS !!

• It did NOT ask me to put a residential adress on anywhere either.

• Just press pay, and enjoy YouTube Premium for less than $1 a month, and trust me, with the inflation will only get CHEAPER from now on!

Google Music was the best streaming app ever. The auto playlists were amazing. The integration of uploaded tracks alongside streaming tracks was also brilliant... I had full fledged access to all my mp3s in an easy to navigate fashion, and if I did an auto playlist I'd often have personal uploads appear alongside streaming tracks. It was just brilliant. A good example of this is that I'm a big Prince fan, and had some albums that were unavailable to stream for years (a few that probably still are unavailable) and I could easily play those songs alongside other tracks.

Now, the app has been really downgraded. I still subscribe and it's worth it for ad-free YouTube alone, but the auto playlists are lazy, and I constantly just get the same songs popping up over and over again. Google Music encouraged exploration of music and with YT Music I feel like the algorithm is just constantly giving me the same stuff because the more I listen to it, the more it pushes the same content.

They also relegated uploaded tracks to a separate section of the app and made them deliberately difficult to navigate through so I basically never get to stream my own library anymore unless I think of a specific song and search for it, and even then it can be difficult to find right away. The app navigation is just all around awful.

My theory is they dangled the carrot of personal uploads early on to get mp3 library folks like me to switch, then deliberately phased that out during the rebranding to keep us dependent upon paying for the streaming each month. And I guess it worked. But man, I really miss Google Play Music... RIP... It was so, so much better than YouTube Music on literally every level.

Android Phones and Android Tablets, Amazon Fire Tablets Install Youtube Vanced or alternatives.

Android TV OS / Fire TV OS sticks / Google TV Install SmartTubeNext

Iphones/Ipads install uYou (sideload the ipa)

PC/web broswers - Install Ublock Origin + SponsorBlock addon/extentions

Yes, Vanced stopped development but will continue to work unless Google changes API. There's already a new team called ReVanced

I got 4 month trial with my Samsung Galaxy S22+. This is much needed for my Android TVs. Thanks OP!
The Samsung deal is stupid. Every time you buy something, to get free youtube premium, you need to create a new a/c. Why can't they give out a promo code instead?

i wouldn't trust their app on a phone - at least not a phone I used for anything else. (You could install it on an old phone that you use on wifi - after resetting that phone back to factory settings).

You should always assume apps on phones are spying on you. Phone security is really weak.

Maybe I'm just weird but I enjoy YouTube Music a lot more than I ever have Apple Music or Spotify. Feels far more intuitive for me.
The mixes are better for me on YouTube music.

I use AdBlock Plus and Firefox and I can't recall the last time I saw a Google ad. It literally blocks on all ads on YouTube.

Why pay for what you can get for free?
Don't use AdBlock Plus, they're shady and whitelist ads for certain sites. uBlock Origin is what you should be using
