my neighbor went with this option, but the thing goes off constantly for no reason. All day, every day, morning noon evening and sometimes into the 1-2am area.

I think he's got the thing installed wrong - the only time it doesn't go off is when he's home.

Tried this one and the shorter-range model: both give far more false alarms than real ones. Tried every adjustment and setting, re-located twice each. Save your money and get a pound dog for $15 :-)

I purchased this sensor and receiver last time there was a frontpage deal and it's worked flawlessly by the driveway. It works well to inform you when someone is approaching your home, provided they are in sensor range.
More FALSE alarms than true ones. Waste of money.

Far better product if you do not want false alarms. Will not detect people, only cars. But will also not "detect" trees moving, deer, birds, falling sticks, etc.

I've had the Mighty Mule for 5 years and it is still going strong.

I don't think I've ever had a false alarm with it, it may only be a bird or a squirrel but every time it goes off something triggered it.

we have bees set it off a lot during the summers. Something about the design attracts them. Still like the product.

I've got a Sun Conure that does the same thing . . . completely wireless.

When I was a kid, you used to call these things "the dog"

I'm assuming this model would not work for my needs but I need an alarm/ cameras that can go around my entire fence line. There are trees completely along the fence line. Lots of birds, etc that hang out. I have a spy basically next door, that will not mind there own business. I want an alarm that can warn us but not be triggered by the trees and wildlife. Is there such a thing? 🧐

I'm all for housing a dog in need, but you're daft if you think it's just gonna cost you $15
