You can use a utility like H2testw to verify the actual capacity. If that checks out, you can then run a benchmark with CrystalDiskMark (or similar utility) to see if the read/write speeds are close to spec. If the capacity/speeds are correct, you should be good to go.

A bit off topic vent:
When Samsung adds extra 128 GB to 128GB phone to make it 256GB, the price goes up by $100.

(I know, that may be a different chip. But, my point was: if the phone had an SD card slot, then I could add 128GB for $20, now I will pay extra $100 for the 256GB)

Tried to buy on Samsung website since it said free shipping with same price but it's not working. Asked the customer service rep to see why it's not giving me free shipping.
She says there's an issue with the free shipping but still sends me link to buy the product without free shipping

I've been trying to buy this deal on Samsung for 2 days and had the same issue. Chatted with 2 different reps and neither could figure out how to fix it. The last said they escalated it so we'll see if they sort it out before the deal expires.
