    Well, the live action which was largely panned was based off the widely loved anime and since the live action got canceled after the first season, I'd say there is a ton to watch here since the anime story went on a lot longer.

    I tried watching the live action and didn't make it past the first ten or so minutes of the first episode so I can't tell you how similar the plots are I've seen the whole animated series and would say it's a steal to have forever (or as long as Amazon exists) at $4 - especially if you've got digital credits to use!

    My advice is to forget the live action series existed, and watch the anime so you can scrub your brain clean lol.
    Seriously though, $4 to watch one of the most highly acclaimed anime series ever is a bargain. In my opinion, it has tone and style that I think is very hard to re-create especially in live action. Similar plots, but I think it'll be obvious where Netflix went wrong.
