For laptops, yes. The P31 is very power efficient. For desktops, not worth the difference.

I'm not going to quote the numbers and all that cause there will always be something out there that's faster, but I've had mine for almost 2 years and it's been solid. No lag whatsoever and very fast from a user perspective.

Its strongest feature is super low temp even than p31 gold. Not sure about power draw but easily guess also low. So I can recommend it for laptop or somewhere low temp/power needed than performance.
