One of my clients wanted to use it as replacement for their broken chrome book and asked me to set it up (paid full $549 for it) I didn't like it at all and got this Acer 317 for $380 last week instead: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/acer...Id=64703
They liked it a lot more (17.3" IPS fullHD touchscreen and backlit keyboard was good value IMO). At that time Acer was selling refurbs on eBay for $350 with 2yr warranty from Allstate.

I get what you're saying about build quality, and maybe you particular "client" didn't require windows or a good processor, but just seems like an apples to bananas comparison. "Toyota Corollas are crappy, check out this really well made bike!" Like… thanks but no thanks. I'm shopping for a car. I'm not interested in a bicycle.
