I'm making a rare PSA in the main forum because there have been many deals in the past and currently posted regarding Xbox Game Pass and Live Gold. As you might know, 'Games with Gold' usually had one Xbox 360 title each month that was yours to keep forever regardless of subscription status in the future. While this will not affect titles already owned, starting October 1st, 'Games with Gold' will no longer include any free Xbox 360 titles going forward. (Again, this will not remove any titles you already have. I'm sure Xbox 360 titles will still be for sale.)

They only issue would be missing out on previous months free games if you don't have a constant active membership. I've had games with gold pretty consistently from 2007 give or take several yrs in between and I barely played actual games since I was lazy to download them. Now that a cloud beta portion is available its way more convenient. Although moments when I played halo death match online got laggy
I have to agree with this, Sony made the move to drop PS3 and Vita games in early 2019, and the monthly games after that have been nothing but amazing compared to what GWG has put out during that same time.
Yeah, Im sure all the various license holders even the ones no longer in business would be cool with that.
What does that have to do with games they give away for free with the subscription?
Playstation phased out PS3 and Vita games forever ago more than likely because they cost them more money than they generated.
I can't imagine that more than 20% of the people with Gold actually played their 360 games and just downloaded them to shelf for later which will never come.
Since Gamepass came out, they really push you towards getting it by giving lackluster games anymore.
I took advantage of the $1 conversion as it's too good to pass on.
Given the choice, I'd take day one releases every time.

What do you mean? The digital games that were given away free up to this point are not being taken away. I think you are misunderstanding what this post is discussing. It is just saying there will not be any more free Xbox 360 games.
That said, I feel you on buying physical, unless it's a game I already know that I love, I want to have the option to sell it.
Similarly with Stadia Pro. And Prime Gaming. If you've decided to give something as 'free' for your members, why make them go thro hoops to 'get' it? Is it a revenue saving strategy?

Does game pass work on the 360 console? I've seen conflicting info.

I doubt game pass works on the 360. But the 360 games on game pass do work on the Xbox one and series s and x because those systems are backwards compatible.
