I clicked the link that says 25% off with trade in. I selected my old echo dot 3rd gen which says $5 for the trade in. I proceeded to checkout and the total was $16.xx after trade.

I didn't the last time this type of deal rolled around, but for some reason I did. It might also depend on what type of device you are trying to trade in? I traded in a Gen 1 Echo Show 5.

When I click on the trade in link on the main page it took me to a pop up page that listed all of the devices that qualified. Once I went through all of this process it told me that the trade-in credit of $20 was instant and the 25% off towards another echo device was already added to my account.

You have to be a prime member and not have used this deal already for this promo. First you do the trade then you go back and add it to cart and the deal shows up. Hope this helps.

They have the same deal for the Amazon Echo Show 8. Since I have an 8 already I tried to do the same thing...trade-in and basically rebuy it and get another free camera. It would work, but this time I did NOT get the instant trade-in value added to my account. I guess this whole thing is hit or miss.
