I clicked the link that says 25% off with trade in. I selected my old echo dot 3rd gen which says $5 for the trade in. I proceeded to checkout and the total was $16.xx after trade.

I decided on the echo 8 - 2nd gen. Traded in my ancient Amazon Tap. Paid $40.89 after tax. It's not the $15 deal but my wife will be thrilled.

EDIT: I neglected to mention that I had to go through my browser to get it (DuckBuckGo). The trade-in did not show up in the app.

I don't see a USB port to attach the Blink Sync Module on this model. There is a micro-USB port for power.

EDIT: I misread this, and the flash drive attaches to the Sync Module and not directly to the camera.

Question: I also did not get the instant and had to mail in my trade-in. Would they apply the 25% discount to the Echo Show I just purchased? Or is it applied only on future ones?

It seems most would agree, from what I've read and those who have heard mine side by side. Out of the ones I have, it goes:

Echo Dot 4th gen (sphere) >
3rd gen (soft fabric puck) >
Echo Show 5 >
2nd gen (hard plastic puck) >

I'm trading a 3rd gen puck for the Show/Blink combo in this deal. I'm sacrificing sound quality for a clock and camera view (plus cam). Bummed about the overall sound downgrade, but the deal + practicality win out in the end for me.

I bought the Gen 5 without the trade in. Now I want this one with the camera and the trade in link isn't showing anywhere. Doesn't matter what link I click, that trade in button won't show up. It did show up when I purchased the Gen 5, but I didn't use it. What the heck? Thanks

If this works like it did a couple years ago, they only cancel the $5 card. So after the time goes by and they don't receive it you'll get charged the $5. Or the card will disappear if you didn't use it.

Anybody else getting "Live view is not supported" for the blink camera in the Alexa app? Similarly the blink camera won't display on the Echo Show 5. Why bundle them together if they aren't compatible?
