Amazon Warehouse currently has 3 Like New boxed AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processors, possibly more over time as when I purchased mine it said it was last one in-stock, then 3 more appeared.

"Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged."

Additionally, they have a few Ryzen 7 5800X's for $261.24.

Good luck with that! They dont even check returned headphones arent broken before selling them through AMZ warehouse, Id never trust them to have checked a CPU is still ok.

Understand, however, I've not had any issues buying Like New items from Amazon Warehouse. They've typically been boxes damaged on the shelf and there's zero risk in purchasing as Free Returns is available. Additionally, if they sell the product New and the Like New product arrives damaged, a simple purchase of the new item returning the warehouse item under that purchase doesn't cause me to lose any sleep. I will be getting a Like New processor at the end of it all.

I would rather buy "Used - acceptable" condition underwear than a CPU. Chances are sky high you will receive one with bent pins or some other issue.

Not worth it, if I'm buying used I expect more than a 15% discount over available brand new unit. Warranty is generally iffy too via AW

True, except Like New items are not necessarily "Used" items, nor is there any evidence that they're returns. They're just as likely product packaging that has been slightly dinged/damaged by Amazon's robots that move product around in their warehouses.

You'll know right away if the tape that seals the boxed processor has been sliced or the CPU has heat sink grease all over it.

Re: Warranty - I just submitted an RMA on my Ryzen 5 3600 because it BSOD's when turning on CPU Virtualization and AMD approved the RMA within a day and sent me a pre-paid return shipping label without asking for any purchase receipt or additional troubleshooting steps.

Used like new items are returns. I've received items that clearly weren't checked before being placed for sale as used like new. Finding double sided tape on items that has been used and human hair stuck to it. I also got the 5800x on the last deal used like new for under 200 and it still had thermal paste on it. With a beat up box. Haven't had any issues with it so far and usually there isn't any issues returning items With Amazon.

They place stickers on the warehouse item boxes to show they are Amazon wearhouse items, and for more expensive items with serial numbers they do record them and will deny your return. You can Google this and find plenty of stories from people being denied returns from doing such. They also keep the wrong item sent and destroy it then ask you to send the correct one or get charged for the item.

Was cheaper yesterday NEW on ebay, with the now expired 20% off deal and SD cashback. Only $318.
I posted the deal here, but SD mods took it down because the seller was supposedly banned despite very high ratings.

You can get this NEW for $345 at Microcenter with their $25 off coupon.

I wish they wouldn't do that and had known about the eBay deal. Could have taken my chances with that and potentially saved a little more.

If you are referring to ant, I think it was more than 318. But if you got it from some other seller for cheaper than sure. I had to pay around 335 after everything including taxes and cashback. Good deal though at 335 after everything.

Good to know but I've not experienced that with "Like New" items and find it curious that you say they don't check returns before reselling them, but they're checking everything that is returned with a hawk's eye and you don't think you're contradicting yourself.

I said I've received items that clearly weren't checked. not that they don't check all the items. And also i said they keep track of serial numbers for higher prices items and check your return to make sure they match not that they do that for all returns.

Well tbh you're not speaking out of experience or providing any hard evidence that you have proof of this from working in the returns dept. You're telling me a Google search of this will reveal what you say to be true, however, a search of "does amazon track serial numbers for returns" and "amazon serial number check" top results come back with basically, No, Amazon does not record S/N's, and that they're just scanning barcodes so long as the product matches the return. Unlike Newegg and other retailers, Amazon does not note a S/N on your purchase, unless you're buying from a 3rd party seller through their platform. So lets say you're a small business, buying 100 processors from Amazon and initiate a return on 1 defective. You won't actually know which order to initiate the return on if you take all the product out of the boxes and mix them up on a shelf. According to you, the buyer would be out several hundred dollars and have their product destroyed, that's laughable, Amazon is probably the most forgiving return process. They also don't destroy anything, they put their returns in boxes on large liquidation pallets selling to anyone who will buy them.
