This looks like a great deal but alas, no DC current measurement. I'm setting up solar panels right now and that's the one feature I can't do without.

Thanks for the suggestion. That's actually what I've been using for years for most of my needs and I very much like it, but it's limited to 100A. I didn't know that until last week when I tried measuring the current to a 12V inverter that was charging an electric car. The inverter is capable of drawing ~250A. I'm currently looking at the Klein CL390, CL800, and CL900, but hesitating at the price.

Try looking at the Amprobe AMP-330 or AMP-320. The 330 goes up to 1000A AC/DC. Perfect for solar work.

The Amprobe 54NAV is also great. 1000A AC/DC and more rugged built.

Uni-T has many models of clamp meters that go up to 1000A DC for reasonable prices on Amazon.

Here's some-
400A UT203R, UT203+
600A UT204R, UT204+

I picked up the same AC DC one they have at harbor freight for $120 from AliExpress for less than $80. I'll see if I can find the link. Not as good if you're an electchicken or HVAC person but I use it for household troubleshooting and solar panels and it works for me.

look for an HT208D on AliExpress, looks identical to the harbor freight one and works good if you don't need the accuracy of Fluke. I paid $43.11 after shipping.

I bought the new Klein CL800 not impressed at all. The auto mode for switching from ac to dc never works. I have an older Fluke 325 at work that is better than my new Klein. Stick with Fluke spend the money, buy one time.

This is true. Not a lot of people know this.

the ACD and AMP-3XX line from Amprobe is made by Brymen (China). But with Amprobe, you have Fluke support and warranty, so that is a +1.
