This game is underrated. I played the SNES version and really like the improvements they brings to this remaster while maintaining the feel
of the old game. No brainer if you play ARPG.

Amazon has the collection of mana (includes this game and two others) for $24.49 for switch. Seems like that is a better deal unless you think you'd never play the other games.

Fun game, but super easy. I believe there's a demo and that would give a good idea if it's for you as it doesn't really get more complex than that.

Really, really enjoyed this remake. This is how you do a remake-- represent the original in a new way, not changing the game play but rather improving it, paying respect to the art style and themes of the original and elevating them: Making the same game but using the current available technology; a remake that asks "What if the original dev team had today's tools?" This is the game that results. A wonderful remake far more respectful to its original than some other remake(s) I won't mention here.

WARNING: DO NOT use the English language dub if you plan to have Charlotte be one of your main three. Someone on the localization team decided that Charlotte must speak like a five-year-old with a speech impediment at all times, and her dialogue can range from cringe-worthy to suicide-inducing.

If you already made the decision to put her on your team (because she's a useful character in battle and might sync with your other teammate choices), you will want to switch to Japanese audio for your own sanity.

Apparently two even harder difficulties were added since it was released, "Very Hard" and "No Future." They sound quite challenging. Need to beat the game once to unlock. But great game even on easier difficulties, especially for fans of JRPGs.

Aparently, there is only couch co-op on "Collection of Mana" on the Switch. I think that will still work for the true fan that wants to try and play with their young ones. I think its up to 3-players like the ol' SNES version of SoM. Game Stop has it advertiesed for $19.99 new and $22.99 used. I'm trying to pm on BB.

Update: I was able to pm BB with GS's $19.99. I would have gotten it from GameStop but they didn't have any available in my area. Luckily it was available online to ship.
