Cliff bars aren't really protein bars, they are energy bars - this one is just marketed as having extra protein. They are basically a compact packaged trail food for endurance activities like running/biking/hiking/etc where you are burning thousands of calories. At least that is how I view them, I personally don't treat these as a protein supplement or a casual snack.

Grabbed chocolate brownie and snagged the Peanut Butter Banana Dark Chocolate as well, as it was $10.60 with S&S.

4 kids. . . can burn through these in no time.

Anyone remember the price mistake on these a few years ago? They sold whole boxes for like $2 dollars or something. They actually shipped and I ended up with 10 boxes lol

I don't buy these from Amazon anymore. Every time in the past I did, the expiration date wasn't too far out and they were very dry.

These Clif bars are not protein bars, these are their energy bars. They have a whole different product line of bars billed as high "protein bars". These are commonly used by athletes on longer endurance activities like hiking and cycling to provide gradual carbohydrate energy in the form of something that feels like food versus energy gels. I buy these myself at Costco for something like 28 for $18 or so (you only get chocolate chip and crunchy peanut butter flavors in the multi-pack).
