Nope the curve wouldn't be any better/worse because of the panel type. The viewing angles aren't going to be had to see because it curves inward not outward. Color saturation and clarity vs response time is usually the big deciding factor.

Based on the review, this LG monitor doesn't come with PBP feature, which will Not allow you to split screen with two inputs.
