Why report info on a different model? That's like saying - "oh I once had a iPhone 6 a couple years ago and the battery died to soon" - not at all being cruel to your input but makes models size and years produce do not matter! I have personally have had a Vizio 43" smart tv for 7 years _ STILL LOOKING GREAT!!!
I just want buyers to know- yeah it's not a Samsung 1.5k$ tv but for the price try it, that's why they have a return window and extended warranty if u r concerned. Happy shopping all! And thanks OP for a chance to purchase!!
Unless it a higher end Qled, Samsung tv's suck. The first thing to go on them is the backlight leds. Had 3 go bad in a span of 3 years. Luckily I always purchased the warranties and was sent a check. Vizio M series bedroom TV has been going strong for almost 9 years. 🤷
When they first debuted like 15 years ago, they were viewed as the cheap brand.
Somewhere around 2012 or so, they really increased their quality level, and they were very close in quality to the premium brands, while maintaining an affordable price.
Now over the past couple years, their quality level has dipped again, and they have gone back to being viewed as the cheap brand.

This was awhile ago but I've only ever owned 1 Vizio 65". I was playing wii sports with some friends when we started to hear the TV whine then you could literally hear a Pop noise then the TV went black, this was less then 1 day old. Returned the Vizio and got a Samsung.

They have so many Vizio's they don't know what to do with them. They just can't give these away
Vizio has had such a weird history.

I don't know if this is still true, but Vizio doesn't even manufacture these tv's. They buy components from major manufacturers and assemble them.
"While Vizio TVs are designed in the United States, they are actually made in several different countries: Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Thailand and Mexico. That's because Vizio outsources 100% of its manufacturing to third-parties such as BOE, Foxconn, Innolux, KIE, Tonly, TPV and Zylux."
With that being said, I have a Vizio M series that is going strong for 8 years now. It still has great picture quality. I get compliments frequently on how nice of a picture it produces. I do have a receiver with upscaling, so maybe that adds value to the picture quality?

A buddy of mine ordered this a month or so ago last time it was at this price. The image was great but there were some burned/depressed spots on the panel. The sale ended by the time he received it and they would NOT exchange for a working one, only do a return/repurchase at the higher price.

I have a 2015 Vizio M series 50" that abruptly died last week, with no warning. Black screen/no sound/ no logo on boot up. Everything was fine till then. Trying to figure out what to replace it with.

You forgot their failed attempts...
Vizio came out with an ultra-wide TV (21:9 aspect ratio.) The Vizio XVT3D580CM
Then they attempted to have a premium series the XVT Pro Series.
Both fizzled out.

They also started out as "V, Inc." and sold the first consumer digital upscaling DVD player (the Bravo D1) back in 2004, which was a godsend for those of us using early digital projectors at the time (some of which has some funky resolutions, like my Panasonic's 1/4 HD 960x540).

Looking for a 55" to replace a plasma. It's too dang hot in the summer to marathon watch with that TV. But it's perfect for the winter.
