This netbook shouldn't exist in 2022. Windows Vista should run really well on this?

No USB-C charging means not a buy for me. Won't buy a device with custom charger again.
Agreed. You can still find that refurb Gateway on Walmart.com for $329 that has crazy-good specs plus USB-C charging. I'm tempted to get it as an everyday/travel laptop. Only downside is really no backlit keyboard.

I bought the 11.6 Inch (see old listing here). Mine came installed with Windows 11S and it pushes you to Windows 11 if you try to convert out of 11S. I was able to downgrade it to Windows 10 by downloading the free install through the Windows website. Rebooted with no issues.

It's really convenient to travel with, just took it to Utah/Vegas. But you must set the expectation that it's for e-mails, simple web browsing, and the occasional YouTube video. The speakers are on it are HORRENDOUS, so make sure you use headphones. I installed Steam on it and am playing pretty basic games - Into the Breach, Vampire Survivor, and I haven't done any Emulation (SNES/GBA) on it yet, but I'm sure that would be fine as well.

It should be noted that this thing has no fans - so the bottom gets pretty warm which in turn will thermal throttle the performance. So keep it on a cool surface or have some kind of cooling periphery on hand if you're going to try to do things like light gaming and watch a ton of movies on it.

Battery life is excellent if you're just doing word processing and e-mails.

Thanks for the review!
Though for email/browsing/youtube, wouldn't a Chromebook would be better?

Get something with a better resolution and your eyes will definitely thank you!

Yes, you're absolutely right! I personally wanted the Windows ecosystem for something like Steam though.

$100 is honestly a steal (it would've been awesome if I got my model for $100), but I get how 14-inches puts people in a weird spot because of the specs. It's not really powerful enough to do visual things with a nice snap, and not necessarily small/light enough to replace a tablet.

This is still good for people in the market for essentially a Window's based tablet with a keyboard. That may be really worth it for a lot of people.
