Gen2 has higher resolution camera with some degree of autotracking, privacy switch, adaptive color temperature, but no 3.5mm audio output. Basically, it is mainly with improved camera for video call.

My amazon account is over 20 years old, I've had prime for over 10, traded a 1st gen echo
My account is also 20 years old and I have 7 echo devices attached. I've also had prime continuously since prime existed. It would not give me the instant credit only 25% after we evaluate your trade in. I wish someone could figure this out I'd really like to get the new echo show 10 but I am unable to buy things without getting the best deal.

Would it be worth trading an Echo 1 or 2 on this? These are the tall cylinders (Echo gen 1 is tall and you can twist the top to change volume, and Echo 2 is shorter and fabric covered). Seems like I've seen people over the years say these have the best sound, but can't recall.

The Echo 1 is no longer supported for updates, and Echo 2 stops getting them next year. Should that be a concern?

other than the screen size, is tjhs vesion echo show 8 any faster than the 5 from the deal a couple of days ago? i just returned the echo show 5 after a few days of using it because it was way too slow compared with my echo dot.

I am not getting instant credit. It asks me to drop it at uBreakiFix location. If I go there, will I get 25% credit and gift card right away after drop at that location? anybody have done that?

Yes right away.. under 5 minutes
If the guy at location says his trade in system is down, do not believe him (he's just too lazy and uninterested. Trying to get you to go to a different store) and wait for someone else to be available at the counter and try
