Similar experiences. Got two monitors both have scratches. But the price is low so cannot complain. However, you can buy this NEW from Walmart right now for $149:

I have both. ASUS has better quality and quite bigger battery.
Screens appear to be the same.
ACER has better speakers, smaller footprint due to thiner bezel and better keyboard.

I am a Chromebook guy!

These are decent specs on a Chromebook. The 1080p screen and 64gb of storage exceed the typical "cheap" Chromebook.

The N45400 processor won't win any speed tests, but, should power this device for typical home or professional use: documents on GDocs/Office365, general surfing, and even content creation on Canva, Pixlr, etc.

I'd be in for one just to play with if it had 8gb of RAM. That's the bottleneck here, but, unless you are million-tab-person, you likely won't notice it day-to-day.

Oops. Best Buy had an ASUS with almost the same specs new at the end of May. I got ASUS and Acer mixed up in my head.

For me, 17" chromebook sounded like a good idea until I actually got one and saw how massive it was. Make sure you really want a computer this big before buying

Agree. This is meant to be more stationary than mobile but wouldn't break your back if you have to carry it around sometimes.
