We bought this for the kids and they *loved* it on a rainy day. Such a cool toy. Then the second day we pulled it out and it didn't work. There was hair all in the wheels and I couldn't get them out without major surgery which I plan to do some day on the kart. If you have pets and/or people with long hair in the house this thing is practically unusable which is such a shame. When I googled online some people said, just keep your house clean, but I'm not talking hair you can see on the wood floor obviously, you have to keep your house spotless to do this.

Do I understand this correctly? If I want my grandchildren to be able to play with each other, I'd have to get two of these to get two remote cars, right?

Yes. You don't need two switches as you can do share screen.

I don't own this so correct me if I'm wrong. I believe you need one system per car. No split screen.
