From what I've read, the build quality of this laptop is subpar compared to Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, but is solid from a hardware/performance standpoint. Recently pulled the trigger on the Legion 5 Pro for $1399 and am considering taking it back for this deal to save $200.

Eh, this post might get dislikes but I'd rather trust $1200+ to a brand with a longer track record. I know Gigabyte has manufactured motherboards and other computer hardware for decades but laptops are a more recent entry for them and not an easy business to master. Same reason I'm not going after their LCD monitors. Specs aren't everything and gaming laptops in particular are pushing hardware to the limits in heat, noise, power usage etc.
