Decent deal but the i5 processors are actually faster than this i7 model.

Just something to consider.

Open Box prices are not significantly cheaper than the $899 sale price, but might go down so worth monitoring if interested.

Last year's TUF model was not particularly good in terms of build quality and cooling. The Gigabyte G5 will likely outperform this for less money - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QPT6...th=1&psc=1

There are other thing to consider in a laptop, build quality, battery life, display quality, etc.. but the gigabyte laptops also a great deal

Had this laptop since release and it's served me well. I use it with a 165hz external monitor and max out the frames on Apex Fortnite Halo and Valorant. Not optimal for Call of Duty.

Yep. I went to Asus website. Was tempted because of the price. But flat out no. No. No.No. You cannot use this for productivity.

Why is it not optimal for Call of Duty?

I think a lot of people are overlooking the $550 victus i5 12450h available at best buy until tomorrow (Wednesday). It only has a 1650 graphics card but for productivity (video editing specifically) cpu is more important. So for someone who is productivity first gaming second and on a tight budget this makes a lot of sense. I'm going to buy this now because I'm on a budget then build a video editing/gaming beast when I have more money and graphics cards have fully come down in price. Will still be nice to have the laptop on hand for travel.

Only 8 gb ram but upgradable to 32gb and the back plate is relatively easy to take off and self install. Comes with 512gb ssd which is fantastic at this price in my opinion.

97% srgb I believe as well.

Wow, I like that deal. I recently got the Lenovo Ideapad from GameStop deal(I also had a bunch of pro points to convert to online coupons so I saved like $25 that way too - my son loves looking at the Roblox and FNAF toys at GameStop so we shop there often and I find they have vastly improved their model recently). It was a bit cheaper, but this Victus has the newer alder lake CPU, a better screen, and more storage. One reason I did go with the Lenovo is the ease to upgrade it. You did say the RAM is easy to do on the Victus which is great to see too. The Lenovo was also nice in this respect because it can take a second nvme or ssd and actually includes the tray and cables to upgrade it (strangely no standoff for an NVME though but that's a $3 part on amazon).

I'm shocked that Victus deal isn't going frontpage - maybe the powers that be aren't pushing that retailer this week.

Also, the 1650 is fine for 95% of gamers out there. I play more seriously than many I'd say and love building and tweaking my computers and tech, but an all in one laptop is nice to have to bring along. I have brought it to our remote cabin to play and it's fine and take it over to friends/family's house and it's great to have.

I will warn/say the HP Victus reviews though, I saw like 3 that mention heat/noise. The alder lake chips are power and heat intensive, that's for sure. One of the other reasons I went with the Lenovo over others, even if I wanted to spend more, was this has the GPU and CPU are on each side and each has a dedicated cooler/fan and enough space and intake for each. I personally on my computers have always valued noise, cooling, and performance over looks or raw power. In the day, I used some i7s with the T or S or whatever variant was the lower TDP - as I usually have a small space for my computer so need to manage thermals well and not have it sound like a jet engine.

Good find on the Victus. This deal isn't horrible if you need the better gpu, but if someone needs just a basic gaming laptop and is price conscious, good find there!

Don't buy this. Thermals won't be stable. I5 will outperform this because of that. Pass!
