Solid game! Easy to pick up and each villain significantly changes play. The x-men version is even better. I just got my kickstarter in from that one and have more characters than I'll ever manage to play.

Yes. There are a few exceptions but by and large almost everything is compatible.

Almost kickstarted this for $190... I saw through my own fanboyism and withdrew my pledge... Glad to see it's not terrible, but is also far cheaper for a basic version... KS basic (with KS exclusives) was $90 originally...

But the resell on the kickstarter stretch goals is insane. There are people who just back CMON games because they can more than double their money just selling the extras.
