TVs are cheaper.
TVs this price almost never have 4:4:4 Chroma Subsampling. Which is basically mandatory on a monitor if using text-based programs, plus standby/wake is rarely implemented well/at all on TVs.

I still think it's only ok of a deal/product, especially because it's a VA panel and something this size really needs an IPS to not get color distortion towards the edges if seated up close to it. But it's an actual monitor and functions like one as opposed to a TV. If you're just using a second display to game or watching video a tv is absolutely fine and likely the better option.

From my experience they go through with little communication with Samsung… But they take forever.

Bought and received this monitor when it was last at this price on July 4th.

I've since returned it. Issues I had:

-Didn't seamlessly recognize my Windows Laptop. Had to resort to turning on and off the monitor.

-OS is slow. It's probably fine with some patience but with the first issue, it was no brainer to return.
Ive have the Windows recognition thing with Dell and Asus monitors. I wonder if it's a Windows thing

Recently picked up a 32" monitor for my desk and didn't really grasp the size difference from my 2-27" monitors. It as beautiful and all, but huge when I'm at my desk. Is this set up at a desk work station? How far are you from this beast of a monitor?

Exactly I have a 24 inch 1080p and getting a 4k 27. I am a developer but don't like to open multiple windows so screen real estate is not so important to me but what matters is text clarity. I have used curved 32 inch at work and had trouble due to the mammoth size. I will know if 27 inch 4k works today and if there is substantial improvement or stick to my existing monitor

Almost all monitors will struggle with too much light. This is 300nits, I'd suggest trying to get as bright of a monitor as you can honestly.

Depending what you're doing, your best bet might be getting a glaringly bright Samsung TV and use it in pc mode. Basically, light pollution can be tough especially without knowing the exact environment.

I'm tempted to buy a couple of these for my workstation but partly put off by the fact that it's only gotten 15 thumbs up after being viewed over 8K times... I'm relatively new at shopping for monitors, is this not that good of one or.. ?
Because this line of monitors has pretty low-quality, dim panels in them.

I have an LG 43" 4k. It's basically 4x 20 inch 1080p monitors 2x2 without the bezels. If you like that idea, it works great. I sit at normal monitor difference.

It's worth noting that monitors don't get as bright as tv's and don't have screen flicker. So while the thought of being 30" from a big screen TV gives you chills, you won't have the same experience being 30" from a designed monitor regardless of size.

Centered, you don't get much distortion on the edges but there is a little so I tend to move my head a little subconsciously while working in different quadrants (since it's not curved)

These are freaking great! I bought the smaller M model for my daughter's room... currently used for more of TV and streaming functions, but when she goes to school next year, it will be her dorm room monitor/TV... highly recommend these Samsung products... I'm sure if you purchase this through your phone (android/samsung pay app) there would be additional CB as well... btw, don't ever buy a Samsung fridge... ;o) we'll, if you plan to use the ice maker... don't buy one... great fridges otherwise...

I brought the 43" M7 4K UHD Smart Monitor and Streaming TV Model Number: LS43AM702UNXZA back in May for $324. Used 2 "Honey" coupon codes. Not sure what the difference between that one and this 43" M70B UHD USB-C Smart Monitor & Streaming TV one.
The new model is better. Supports 10-bit color. It has HDR.

Yeah I still have on of the 27" and rotated it. Love the setup now and helps with work. Just crazy to think my college pc was a 17" crt

With all the tech in this would be great if it had a KVM built-in, but bigger issues seem like no audio out and no ethernet combined with the wonky UX.
