I just saw Airpod Pros with Magsafe for $185 somewhere today. Seems like a way better deal, just can't recall where.

What's the difference between these and AirPods Pro? These look more comfortable.

Airpod pro seal in your ear with a cushion and have ANC + transparency mode but sound ever so slightly worse and have fit issues for some people. They also came out in 2019, whereas airpods 3 came out last fall. It's six in one hand half dozen in the other if you like the fit and ANC or if you would prefer a looser fit while being able to hear your surroundings. I went with airpods 3 renewed on amazon for 99 bucks becuase of the bump in voice quality. (and I'm even on android for the moment lol)

I always compare deals like this to new/open box on ebay and they seem to be average at best. Looks like they're trying to clear out inventory across the board on a 3 year old device to make way for the pro v2 announcement soon. That's why I went with the 3s.

I went with the AppleCare+ for $23, but I wasn't sure about it for these. Anyone have experience with the usefulness of it for AirPods in particular?

At this point, I pretty much buy AppleCare+ for anything Apple, since it's all so expensive to repair out of warranty. Yet, I ended up regretting it on the Apple TV 4K, once I realized that the new remote is in fact not one drop away from absolute disaster.

Useful if your battery starts to really degrade right before your 2 year AC+, then use the warranty to send it in for a replacement.
