I bought this one over their other ones exclusively because of the battery use. I like being able to swap my rechargeable battery when needed to get instant 100% in like 2 seconds of swap time. Going on 3 years now with this mouse. My phones don't seem to hold the same charge after 2 years, it lasts less; I imagine the mouse built-in chargeables would be the same.

I have the g903 and I can see it going either way. It's nice just recharging every time after I'm done but on the off chance I forget I have to use it with a cable vs just changing the battery. Definitely not super environmentally conscious tho

Mine is still going strong maybe two years now. You should contact Logitech. They might replace it for free. Had good support for me in the past. Since then I only buy Logitech mouse after dealing with razer support
