I have the A2 one for the steam deck now and it has been nothing but problems like freezing and crashing. Just bought the A1 version of it because the steam deck does not support A2's need for the CPU to control the storage.

Also, Valve sent review units with A1 SD cards--that should tell you something. In addition, the Linux kernel on the steam deck (5.13) does not support A2's controller needs, but it is in the latest kernels 5.14 and 5.15--so when Valve updates [steamgames.com]the steam deck to those it may work.

It's a crazy world with m2 storage is the same as sd storage
Some thoughts:
* 1TB is impressive, but this is not as fast as some 512GB cards out there, if speed is important
* SD cards can be flaky and 1TB is a lot of data to lose
* A lot of devices say that they are only compatible with SD cards up to a certain size, which has always been weird to me. It's very difficult to understand what will happen if your device doesn't explicitly say it will support a card of this size.

The Sandisk Extreme 1TB is also on sale for $152. It's more expensive, but if you want something with faster read/write speeds it's not a bad deal.

Looks like it's only down 15 to 20 bucks from regular price. Was hoping for better.

Also looking for a deal on the extreme over this one.

There's a Samsung at a really good price too. Haven't decided if I'm going to return the 256 I bought previously and exchange for a larger capacity

Same price and B&H Photo in case people are weary about purchasing from Amazon because of mixed stock with counterfeit.

also 5% Cashback with discover+PayPal to sweeten the deal.
