Costco has their DJI Mini 2 bundle with one extra battery, bag and 32 GB micro SD for $440, if you don't need 3 batteries, charging hub and a larger bag.

I got the Costco deal and was worried that two batteries will not be enough. After a few flights I can say that the 30-minute flight time is very accurate estimate and is a very long time for a flight. I always end up returning before using up the entire charge.

Post above mentions that the photo quality is crappy. Not sure what the person is expecting from an entry level sub 250g drone. The quality is acceptable in my opinion, I attached some photos I took.

That is not correct. You can purchase DJI Care refresh for their factory refurbished items as well. DJI refurb on ebay come with 1-yr warranty and you can buy the 2-yr package for $79. The refurbs at $100 lesser end up being better because of this.

don't be silly, these drones don't just drop out of the sky. i know it feels that way and excites a lot of drama in the pilot but the truth is there is likely a mechanical issue if it's not pilot error. if you have a warranty, you are probably covered in the case of a defect. otherwise, it's a good idea to purchase dji care refresh but not because the drone decided to fall out of the sky after years of flying nonsense. it's just good idea to have drone insurance to cover accidents and mistakes and other mishaps and you can get that with any drone you buy (new or used) whether it's from dji, state farm, allstate, or other places. for the mini 2, a cheaper refurb is just as good if not better than a nib.

I haven't seen a single Amazon Prime deal worth buying. Cancelled Amazon Prime $15 a month charge 6 months ago and it was the best decision ever.

Not about shopping smart, don't write a comment about no sales tax when your statement is wrong. They collect sales tax, you get refunded the tax with the credit card. If you saved that much, you're spending a lot, I'm not opening a new credit card to save <$30 for this deal.

If he has had practice w/ the cheap toy drones this one will serve him very well. The DJI drones fly themselves in ways the toy drones dont. They also auto hover in a way toy drones dont. It's a good choice. Just w/ the mini, you have to fly in little to no wind.

I went ahead and bought it. I saw some on eBay for the same price but refurbished. I'm a little hesitant with refurbished items especially when they rely heavily on sensors and electronic components. Hope I use it a lot.
