15 bulbs in 48 ft is very sparse. For instance, costco one has 24 bulbs for same length.

This kind of seems like a jerk reply but they do sell setups like the one mentioned

Is it really normal for the adaptor not to be waterproof? Plus the comments about needing a separate line to hang these on make me hesitate.

Haha only slightly being a jerk. It's just not a slick deal when youre going to spend an additional $50 on some parts to rig up a solar powered string light when they just sell those ready to go on Amazon too for the same price

The reason why I am asking is because I already have a set of string lights (plug in style), and a small solar panel and a few power bank, and also smart plug as well....problem is, I want it to light up around 8pm but the smart plug plugs into the power bank the power bank auto shut off so at 8pm....it will not auto light up....not sure how to solve this....

Eh. I decided to branch out & go the solar route with these types of lights:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

Pretty sweet deal IMO $18.99+ tax on Lightning Deal with $5 off coupon w/ 2 way power (USB & Solar Panel Option)
25 bulbs & 27ft length
I'll take the power savings over smart convenience on this one.
This will be used more spring/summer (partial fall) season than any other time in my outdoor area when an outdoor occasion calls for it's usage.

Thanks OP for reminding me I was on the lookout for a deal on these.

This does seem like a good deal. There are concerns regarding the glass bulbs (which can break--though the light kmay still work), and the non-replaceable battery (though I have a lithium cell in a solar light that is still going strong for, I think at least 6+years, and more than the 2 somewere worried about.

Anyone have experience with the solar lights?

Yeah, however for us, breakage shouldn't be an issue. These will placed under covered porch area.
So in that respect, bulb breakage doesn't play much of a factor not to pull the trigger on these.
The non-replaceable battery, I think, all things considered, at this price, I can safely take the chance.
Not a big lost if the battery "konks" out after say 3 years or so. Break even for me.
By then, technology will advance & I'll want for something more "sophisticated" then anyway.
I'm more into "Free Lighting" these days. LOL
Good Luck

Requiring power source is a deal breaker. Wish it has solar.
