Its crime against those who wear boatshoes for Sperry to sell shoes without leather footbeds inside. If you wear boatshoes barefoot as God intended, these will stink terribly within 5 wears. If you really want these, rip the seersucker cloth footbed out and replace it with leather Pedag insoles from Amazon.

If you want real boat shoes that will last years and are made to be worn barefoot without your feet and shoes smelling like compost, buy Gold Cup Sperrys. All the cheap $60-$80 Sperrys rarely have their footbed padded and the insole is usually not leather which makes for smelly swamp foot.

It looks like the seersucker description says "textile and leather upper" while the original says "full grain pullup leather upper". (Pull up leather is stretched leather) I'm a generation X'er and for what it's worth neither of those are the same as the Sperry Topsiders that were popular in the '80s. Those now appear to be sold as the Gold Cup Authentic Original Boat Shoe.

In for the "Original 2-Eye Seersucker Boat Shoe" in Navy. These look like they would be painful to walk in for any duration but they look 80's cool. Now I got to look for deals on Wayfarers, khaki pants and a polo shirt.
