I like Ninja products but with just like any ice cream maker without a compressor, unless you plan ahead to make something you will never make anything spur of the moment cause noone has the refrigerator space to just keep a bowl freezing till its needed.

Pay the premium and get an ice cream maker with compressor and enjoy ice cream any time at the spur of the moment, totally worth the extra cost for this and I already pointed out in previous threads for these type of Ice cream makers with compressors can be had between $150-200ish.

Still waiting for Costco to have a deal on these again. Was only $5 more, but came with four total pints and lids. Not just one.
This comes with 2 pints and lids.

Or just buy extra ninja creami pints. Prep them ahead of time and then use when needed. I rotate 7 pints at a time, only issue is having the freezer space and buying, rebuying needed ingredients

You don't freeze the bowl. You freeze multiple pints of ice cream and when you want it you take out pint put in machine and it drills it like a drill bit with a blade. You're eating ice cream in 2.5 minutes

Exactly with a ice cream maker with built in compressor you can make and have ice cream in under 60 minutes fresh and ready to go... no rotating no 24 hour wait periods.

Thanks for the clarification I did not know that, but the concept is the same still have to wait 24 hours for the ingredients to freeze over before you can use them. When with a ice cream maker with compressor you just get the ingredients dump them in and wait 60-120 minutes. So unless you strictly eat only 1 or 2 flavors I find this too inconvenient to be useful. I had previous ice cream makers which required freezing never used them cause again too inconvenient this would be in the same category.

That's a great deal, and so worth it. We love ours.
Only downside is I had to use all of my Discover reward points to get the 40% off. All 47 ($0.47) of them. Frown

Big Grin

If you love ice cream, this is a must buy. Coincidentally as I saw this post, I'm eating a chocolate coffee ice cream I made. And will have mango ice cream tomorrow. I bought this for similar price from kohl's last October. Although in also had $15 in kohl's cash and rewards. Which I used to buy an additional 4 pack of pints. No need to buy anymore specialty ice creams like halo top, carb smart, rebel, etc. I make ice creams from milk, protein powder, sugar free pudding mix, a bit of whipped cream, sugar free syrup and then alter it with fruits or whatever specific flavors.
Do you have a specific place that you look for recipes? I bought one recently but have not opened it yet.

I was kinda on the fence about this, but the family got me one for Father's day and it's awesome. I mean, the ingredients to make ice cream are still pretty pricey, so don't get it if you think it's cheaper than buying ice cream at the store, but it is a hell of a lot better than most store bought.
